Each DIVINEO cuvée is the fruit of the work of two artists: the winegrower and the winemaker. We have chosen to combine their talents to create unique wines, whose style is carried by the winemaker while preserving the typicity of the terroir of origin.
By separating the two stages, the winegrower and winemaker can express themselves at their best. By concentrating on one of the two dimensions, our winemakers can truly embody the wine and reveal all their know-how.
DIVINEO highlights the power of the collective to open up new horizons without compromising on quality.
The DIVINEO project was shaped by a series of encounters, which led us to the unspoilt valley that now houses our vineyards. We immediately saw the potential of this viticultural jewel, which enables us to grow grape varieties that are unusual in the region, while maintaining a low alcohol content. We were also keen to highlight terroirs that are sometimes forgotten.
In our opinion, the French system of wine appellations and the resulting prices do not always reflect the quality of the wines.
We have chosen to free ourselves from this traditional system and its strict specifications, to be freer to take the best from each region and each practice. By moving away from appellations, we can do our utmost to produce unique, high-quality, balanced wines that respect the environment.
This is the only way to ensure the originality and unique style of our wines. In fact, they are difficult to compare with wines from other appellations: blind tastings have proved it!
DIVINEO practises agroforestry and is certified organic for part of its cuvées. The other part is in the process of conversion. Undogmatic and fundamentally free, we draw on the best of biodynamic and other types of sustainable agriculture.
The very concept of DIVINEO obliges us to transport the grapes by road: only in this way can 4-hand creations and the blending of regions come to life. The journey for our grapes is relatively short, and only takes place once a year. Our carbon footprint is therefore limited.
What's more, we do our utmost to ensure that the other stages in the production of our wines have as little impact as possible on the environment, and compensate for the emissions linked to transport. The choice of agroforestry and organic farming, the elimination of chemical inputs in the vineyard and the use of plastic in our packaging are just a few examples. With the exception of viticulture, all our activities are centralized in Burgundy, so other travel distances are very short.
