Syrah de Robiac 2022

Syrah

2022,

born from plot selection in a cool valley, close to one of the largest forests in the Cévennes Piedmont, in Saint-Mamert-du-Gard.

The nose is fresh and delicate, with notes of berries and subtle spices. The palate is dynamic, with a well-balanced body and a rather tannic finish.

Syrah de Robiac is a seductive, elegant wine for laying down, reflecting the richness of the preserved parcel in which it was born.

A four-hands creation

I worked the fresh harvest in whole bunches to infuse, rather than extract, the grapes as naturally as possible, with no chemical inputs and less than 10mg of sulfur per liter.

I carried out a spontaneous vinification using indigenous yeasts and aged the wine for 26 months in old Burgundy barrels.

— Julien Petitjean, winemaker in Burgundy

The clay-limestone “red soil” terroir enjoys a Mediterranean climate with cool nights.

I use no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Working with certified organic farming and agroforestry, I harvest by hand, respecting living organisms.

— Clodéric Prade, winegrower in Languedoc
