This wine comes from a cool valley near one of the largest forests in the Cévenol foothills, in Saint Mamert Du Gard. The Robiac vines produce a precise Syrah with fresh, crisp fruit, giving a fine, straightforward wine without heaviness.

Worked in plot selection, The Syrah expresses itself in a “Nordic” style, and its ageing potential is that of a wine aged for a long time…

A four-hands creation

I worked the fresh harvest in whole bunches to infuse, rather than extract, the matter as naturally as possible, without chemical inputs, with less than 10mg of sulfur per liter.

I carried out a spontaneous vinification with indigenous yeasts and aged the wine for 12 months in old Burgundy barrels.

The clay-limestone terroir with red soil enjoys a Mediterranean climate with cool nights.

I use no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Certified for organic farming and agroforestry, I harvest by hand, respecting the living world.

On the nose, a lovely, complex bouquet reveals notes of licorice, cinnamon, fig, rose and a hint of smoke. On the palate, the tannins are present but silky. The whole is smooth and suave, with long aromas of violets, figs, pastry and pepper. 93/100
